1. Kolaba fort and Alibagh Beach
The Alibaug beach is the main beach of Alibaug. This is the place to head to if you want to visit the Kolaba fort. The main road along this beach is swarming with food stalls in the evening.
The Kolaba fort was built by Shivaji. It is surrounded by the sea on all sides. During the low tide, it can be easily accessed by a walk along a short stretch of land. During the high tide, this land disappears under the sea. Instead of a walk, you can even take a horse ride for this 1 kilometre stretch.
2. Nagao beach
Just 7 kilometre from Alibaug, Nagao is another beautiful beach to include in your beach-hopping plans. Accessed via the fish market, the smell of fish is pretty pungent in this locality.
3. Shri Kanakeshwar Devasthan
Situated around a kilometer from Kamal Homes, a visit to this temple entails a one-hour climb uphill climb. But once up, you forget your fatigue at the first sight of the scenic temple.
4. Varsoli Beach
Since this beach is situated on the outskirts of Alibaug, it is less crowded here. Thus, the beach is much cleaner and you can have some quiet and peaceful time here.
5. Revdanda Port,
The creek at this port bustles with activity. We get a glimpse into the lives of the fishermen folk of Alibaug as fish carrying vessels dock at this place.
6. Phansad Sanctuary
On the way to Murud, at Borli village is situated the Phansad Sanctuary. Rabbits, tigers, wolves, etc. can be found here. The government also offers trekking facilities here.
7. Garambi Dam
Garambi Dam is the main supplier of water to this area. A picnic here would be a perfect way to enjoy nature at its best.
